The First Armtrac 400 is in Ukraine

Thanks to your donations, the world's largest and most effective demining vehicle was purchased over the summer. Today, it started working.

Ukrainian bomb technicians learned how to drive the powerful machine from British instructors. After that, the Armtrac 400 traveled across the country to the liberated Kharkiv region. At a presentation, operators showed the process of detecting and defusing mines, by grinding them with Armtrac's rotor. There was also a presentation of projectiles removed by deminers, including anti-POM-3 type personnel mines, prohibited by international law, as well as demonstrative demining carried out by detonating an explosive projectile.

According to representatives of the State Emergency Service, bomb technicians defuse between 1,000 to 1,500 munitions every day. The new demining vehicle will help to do this faster, better and, most importantly, with less risk to life.
