Operations have light during blackouts, thanks to generators from UNITED24

When russia deliberately targets critical infrastructure, hospitals can be left without electricity for 10–12 hours.

At such times, it is impossible to stop work, because every piece of equipment, every operating room, and every minute is a matter of human life.

In 2022, UNITED24 launched the Light Up Ukraine fundraiser to provide hospitals with backup power. Today, 657 generators purchased as part of this fundraiser are operating throughout Ukraine. For several years now, they have been supporting the work of medical facilities, especially during difficult periods where shelling intensifies in winter and blackouts become prolonged.

Thanks to these generators, hospitals continue to operate even during complete power outages: operating rooms do not stop, intensive care units and ventilators continue to function, patient cardiac activity is maintained, and heat/water supplies in hospital buildings are preserved.
