In order to help overcome the consequences of the tragedy, the fundraising platform UNITED24 launched a fundraiser Lifeboat for Ukraine.

Lifeboat for Ukraine: UNITED24 has launched fundraiser regarding the explosion at Kakhovka HPP

All funds raised will be used to purchase gear and equipment for rescue operations in the region:  rescue vessels, motor pumps, flashlights, diving suits and other rescue equipment for Ukrainian emergency services. The extent and outcomes of the tragedy will be known when the water recedes.

State Emergency Service of Ukraine and State Transport Special Service who are engaged in rescue, evacuation and overcoming the consequences of the tragedy, will supplement the list of needs.

"The consequences of blowing up the Kakhovskaya HPP are huge. 26 settlements of the de-occupied part of the Kherson Oblast  were in the flooding zone, Mykolaiv Oblast was under threat, so any help will be valuable for us. Also, water carries away explosive devices and mines, which either detonate due to movement or become covered with silt, making demining difficult. Special equipment is also required for their disposal," said in the State Transport Special Service.
