Lifeboat for Ukraine

On the night of June 6, the russian military blew up the Kakhovka HPP dam, causing one of the largest water reservoirs in Ukraine to flood into the nearby region.

This terrorist act has caused the biggest European environmental disaster in decades. The lives of hundreds of thousands of people are still at risk.

What are we raising funds for?

All funds raised will be used to purchase gear and equipment for rescue operations in the region.

The extent and outcomes of the tragedy will be known when the water recedes, but right now, we need:

  • lifeboats AND RAFTS
  • motor pumps
  • EXCAVATORS, BULLDOZERS AND CRANES
  • FIREFIGHTING GEAR
  • diving suits
  • CONTAINMENT BOOMS
  • PORTABLE WATER FILTRATION STATIONS
  • UNDERWATER DRONES FOR IDENTIFYING EXPLOSIVES
  • SORBENT, ETC
Help

Why is this so crucial?

TOWNS AND VILLAGES OF THE KHERSON AND MYKOLAIV OBLASTS ARE WITHIN THE FLOOD ZONE

The dam at Kakhovskaya HPP continues to deteriorate. This could cause new flooding risks, according to British intelligence.

Also, explosive devices and mines originally planted by russia are now adrift in the flood waters. They can detonate while flowing, or end up covered with mud, complicating demining efforts. This also requires special equipment.
