Glovo and UNITED24 team up to continue supporting Ukraine

Spanish technology company Glovo and UNITED24, the official fundraising platform of the Ukraine, have come together to finance the most urgent humanitarian and infrastructure reconstruction aid.

Glovo has created a UNITED24 section within the app so that its users can make donations. This initiative will be active from September 24th to 29th throughout Spain, thanks to the support of Worldcoo, a platform specialized in micro-donations. In addition, Glovo will donate one euro for every euro received through this section. 

The goal of the collaborating entities is to allocate the funds obtained to finance specialized vehicles for mine detection and deactivation in the territory. In total, it is estimated to help more than 10,000 people directly and 30,000 indirectly.

"Ukraine has been listed as one of the world's most mine-contaminated countries. According to the State Emergency Service specialists, 30% of Ukrainian territory is mined, and it will take more than 700 years to clear it. We appreciate the support of those who help to speed up this process as much as possible. Demining is an extremely important milestone on the path towards restoring the peaceful life for Ukrainians. Every defused mine is someone's life saved," commented Mykhailo Fedorov, Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine.

Sacha Michaud, Co-founder of Glovo, adds: "With initiatives like this, we want to provide our users with all the necessary tools to support Ukraine. Since the beginning of the conflict, we have closely followed the evolution of events in order to assess the best options and thus offer all our support."
