Glovo and UNITED24 raise funds for robots that deliver where couriers cannot

The goal is to  fund 17 VOLYA-E  radio-controlled robotic platforms. These are universal robotic logistics systems that deliver water, food, and medicine. One of the key advantages of these robots is their crawler track, which increases their cross-country ability in snow, ice, sand and mud. As a result, they can be used in areas where military operations are underway. The platform has compact dimensions: less than a meter wide, slightly more than a meter long, and only 40 cm high, which ensures stability against overturning. In addition to food and medicine, this platform can transport the wounded to a safe place. They can carry up to 150 kg of cargo.

The cost of one platform is 265 000 UAH excluding VAT. Glovo has fully covered the cost of 15 robots. To close the collection, another 400 660 UAH needs to be raised. 

Anyone can join in: from July 15 to 28, users of the Glovo app can place orders from restaurants and shops that have joined the initiative; 5 hryvnias from each order will be transferred to the collection. To do this, the company has created a separate section  on the app's home screen, which contains all the participating  establishments. 

The campaign involves 280 partners, including Puzata Khata, Pizza Day, Doner Market, OKKO, Winetime, and others. Users of the app in 30 cities of Ukraine can place orders and help raise funds. In addition, during this period, anyone can join the initiative as a partner or donate directly in the app to support the project.

Couriers and partners in Ukraine have repeatedly proved their resilience and ability to work in any conditions. However, there are places in Ukraine where delivery services are impossible, but necessary. That is why we, together with our partners, are raising funds for logistics robots, which are very useful to people who need help in remote or dangerous areas.

Technology must fight on the battlefield! Robots are Ukraine's asymmetric response to the enemy's numerical superiority and an effective solution to save the lives and health of our military. Logistics robots can deliver cargo to the front line and safely evacuate the wounded while the operator who controls them is in a protected location. Thanks to this, robots take our defenders back from the ground up, so more robots mean more lives saved.
