UNITED24 Presents a Jedi-themed Update for the Air Alert App: Mark Hamill English Voice Over and Donate Functionality are now live

The Air Alert app has officially partnered with UNITED24. Push-notifications signaling the end of an air raid now display a message to “Support the Ukrainian Army with donations,” alongside a link to the UNITED24 fundraising platform. The English audio version of these notifications is voiced by Mark Hamill himself - an ambassador of the platform.

The legendary actor behind Luke Skywalker will notify users about five different types of danger: missile attack, shelling, street fighting, radiation, and chemical threat. Mark Hamill has also added some of his iconic and inspiring quotes to announcements when the danger is over. All in-app donations will go towards purchasing drones for Ukrainian defenders through the UNITED24 platform, as Mark was the first ambassador for the Army of Drones project.

“This isn’t just an app update to us, but a way to do our part on the information front and an opportunity to help the Ukrainian Armed Forces in keeping up the good fight. Unfortunately, the constant alerts are still the reality for Ukrainians, and we constantly require help from the Western world. We hope that the English version of the app will help us call foreign attention towards the war in Ukraine and motivate everyone to support our defenders. The English version of Air Alert (now voiced by Mark Hamill) is already available on iOS, Android and Huawei. Users can change the notification language in their settings. If the application did not automatically update to version 4.1, please update it manually or reinstall the app. If your phone interface language is not Ukrainian, the app will be set to English by default.

The Air Alert app was developed by Ajax Systems and Stfalcon and with support from the Ministry of Digital Transformations of Ukraine. The app has over 11 million downloads. It has become a convenient and reliable tool for informing Ukrainians of imminent danger.
