Andriy Shevchenko and Oleksandr Zinchenko gather football stars to play a charity match in support of Ukraine.

The Game4Ukraine game will take place on August 5, 2023, at Stamford Bridge — the legendary stadium of FC Chelsea in London.

"I support the initiative of Andriy Shevchenko and Oleksandr Zinchenko to hold a charity match in London. The Game4Ukraine at Stamford Bridge is an opportunity for the football community all over the world to unite, show solidarity, help Ukraine, help our children return to their school desks, and also attract the attention of the entire world community to the war again."

A Match for the history books

The blue and the yellow team. Yin and Yang. Youth and experience. Two Ukrainian football stars and UNITED24 ambassadors — Andriy Shevchenko and Oleksandr Zinchenko — will wear the captain's armbands. They will play against each other on the field for a common purpose. The goal of the match is to raise funds for the reconstruction of Mykhailo-Kotsiubynsky School in Chernihiv Oblast.

United for children

Game4Ukraine's goal is to raise funds to rebuild the Mykhailo-Kotsiubynskyi School in Chernihiv Oblast.

The Lyceum was shelled by russian troops on March 4, 2022. The missile struck the first and second floors. Thankfully, inhabitants had taken safety in the shelter, and were not injured. However, not much of the building itself survived.

"The school called me to say that it was a direct strike. I ran there immediately. Everything was covered with dust and glass, and people were running away. I felt it all at once: grief, sadness, anger. I used to study at this school, started working here, and became the principal. How could this happen?" - Mykola Shpak, Principal of Mykhailo-Kotsiubynskyi Lyceum.
