STORY
On 30th of June, 2019, the fourth section of the Green Life residential complex was opened for use at Mechnykova St., 104A. Sixty families received keys to their apartments and held a celebration right outside the building. The building had 120 residents, including 35 children.
As a result of military action in Irpin, the building has incurred significant damage throughout March 2022. Load-bearing walls, windows, roof, facade, doors, elevator equipment, and even the yard suffered greatly.
Natalia is from Kherson Oblast, her husband — from Kyiv. In May 2016 they purchased a wonderful apartment in Irpin, and in 2019 they moved in. They finished renovating just half a year before the full-scale invasion.
They rode out on the first day of war, and on the 24th of March they learned that a russian shell hit their home. This happened on one of the last days before russian troops were pushed out of Kyiv Oblast. The family was just about to return to Irpin.
The first thing Natalia and her husband want to do when they restore their apartment is to fulfill a wish they thought of even before the war: they want to become parents. The two of them believe that soon, they will be able to furnish a child’s room in their family home.
