UNITED24 to Fund Rebuilding of Residential Building Near Kyiv

On March 15, 2022, russia’s invasion destroyed the ordinary lives of 120 families in Makariv, Kyiv region: their 5-story residential building was severely damaged. Thanks to contributions towards the Rebuild Ukraine program via UNITED24, housing for many families will be restored.

48,980,000 UAH has been allocated from UNITED24’s Rebuild Ukraine account for the major renovation of the building in Makariv. Together with funds previously provided by the regional budget, this will make it possible to fully restore the housing. The total cost of the works amounts to 90,700,000 UAH.

As of April 28, 2026, part of the works have already been completed, including facade installation, new balcony units, gas pipeline reconstruction and replacement, heating network installation, floor leveling, and restoration of floor slabs and partitions.

Thanks to support from UNITED24 donors, the residents will finally be able to return home by the end of 2026.
