Thanks to UNITED24 Donors, Sumy Region Defenders Received 5 Sky Sentinel Units

Thanks to contributions from UNITED24 donors, the 636th Separate Anti-Aircraft Machine Gun Battalion in the Sumy region received 5 Sky Sentinel units and related equipment for engaging enemy aerial targets.

One of the air defense units is already on combat duty and has proven its effectiveness. These systems help the military detect and destroy enemy UAVs more quickly — from FPV drones to Shahed-type drones, including jet-powered models.

The turrets can operate around the clock, detect aerial targets even in difficult weather conditions, and help Ukrainian defenders shoot them down more quickly. For the Sumy region, which faces enemy drone attacks every day, these systems provide additional protection for civilians and critical infrastructure.

15 million UAH was raised via the UNITED24 platform for the purchase of turrets.
