Sky Sentinel Turrets, Purchased Thanks to Donations From UNITED24 Donors, Are Protecting Kyiv

More than 12 air defense units purchased with contributions from UNITED24 donors and partners are already protecting Kyiv. Another 8 systems will soon be deployed in the Kyiv region.

UNITED24 support helped advance these Ukrainian systems from the early stages of development and research. Today, they are already being used to counter a new threat. Ukraine’s air defense forces have already used robotic turrets to shoot down russian jet-powered drones, including Geran-5s.

The turrets are equipped with heavy machine guns, can rotate 360°, and use artificial intelligence for automated fire control. They can operate around the clock and detect aerial targets even in challenging weather conditions.

Every russian aerial target destroyed means lives protected and an added layer of security for Ukrainian cities.
