8 German Content Creators Launch a €200K Fundraiser for UNITED24’s Sky Defense Campaign

8 German content creators have joined forces with UNITED24, the official fundraising platform of Ukraine. They are raising €200K for the Sky Defense campaign to help protect Ukraine’s skies. 

Frank Peter Wilde, Ruben ‘Rubido’ Mawik, Mark Reicher, Torsten Heinrich, Jan ‘Säbelzahnmöwe’ Meyer-Kamping, Jonny ‘War and Tactic’, Alexander ‘GEOPOL’ Kortan and Tommy Kay all have one goal: supply Ukraine with the necessary means to protect itself in the face of russia’s terror.

Frank Peter Wilde

Frank is a German designer, stylist, and activist for Ukraine since February 2022. His previous public campaigns have focused on the delivery of Leopards to Ukraine and he continues to be a prominent voice in Germany relying on flash mobs, demonstrations calling on European leaders, and stylized elevator selfies in support of Ukraine.

Defending Ukraine isn’t just about the land and the territories. It’s about the lives on that land. People I’ve had the privilege of meeting since 2022. People who deserve to live in peace and safety.

Ruben ‘Rubido’ Mawik

Ruben is a German blogger and combat medic who has been volunteering in Ukraine since 2023. In 2023, he was injured near Bakhmut while evacuating Ukrainian soldiers. In Ukraine, Ruben operates his own ambulance; in Berlin, he often gives lectures on Ukraine, modern warfare, frontline medicine, and psychological resilience.

Around 2018, I began analyzing russia’s military reforms, and it became increasingly clear that putin was preparing for a large-scale invasion of Ukraine. We started publishing videos on this in 2020.

Mark Reicher

Mark Reicher is a German military YouTube blogger who has consistently supported Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale invasion. He creates videos on current events in Ukraine and regularly participates in UNITED24 fundraisers.

When russia’s aggression began in 2014, it became clear to me that this was opening Pandora’s Box. It meant that a nation had successfully expanded its territory through military force. For Europe, and indeed for the world, to be a safer place, it cannot become normal again for countries to conquer land by force. That’s why I started supporting Ukraine back then. And when the full-scale invasion began, my fears were confirmed, and I launched my YouTube channel, which allowed me to support Ukraine through donation campaigns.

Torsten Heinrich

Torsten Heinrich is a military historian and YouTube blogger experienced in defense and foreign policy. Torsten actively supports Ukraine, recently having raised $15,000 for Ukrainian medical needs, helping both civilians and the military.

I support Ukraine because it is fighting against an aggressive dictatorship. Shortly after the full-scale invasion began, I started publishing videos on russia’s war against Ukraine with the aim to increase my German-speaking audience’s understanding of the topic and provide clearer context on military developments.

Jan ‘Säbelzahnmöwe’ Meyer-Kamping

‘Säbelzahnmöwe’ is a German content creator who actively supports Ukraine. He creates historical videos, with special attention to tank technology.

I support Ukraine because it is not only defending itself. Ukraine is the shield in the east of Europe. People there fight every day to ensure that war, terror, and imperialist violence do not become the new normal in Europe. If russia were to succeed, the consequences would reach far beyond Ukraine. Ukraine is also protecting us — our security, our freedom, our democracy. That is why I try to contribute my part with my videos, analyses, and fundraising campaigns. Not out of ideology, but because looking away in times like these is not an option.

Johnny ‘War and Tactic’

Johnny is a German OSINT analyst and situation reporter on security policy topics, providing daily updates on various conflicts.

I was a university student when the full-scale war broke out and at that moment I understood that this would change Europe forever. I saw how widespread russian propaganda was and decided to begin my own efforts to counter disinformation. In June 2024, I launched my YouTube channel GEOPOL to counter russian propaganda and support Ukraine, because Ukraine is not only defending itself, but all of us as well. I see it as my duty to stand with Ukraine.

Alexander ‘GEOPOL’ Kortan

Alexander is a YouTube content creator with a background in journalism and media management. A 2025 visit to Ukraine and a close friendship with a combat medic trainer in the 93rd Brigade further propelled his desire to help Ukraine. Alexander is already planning his next trip to Lviv and Dnipro in July.

For too many people, the war in Ukraine has been reduced to nothing more than a headline. But this war isn’t just a statistic or a game: this is real life, real people. People who are our neighbors and who are holding russia back from reaching us. The least we can do is support them in this battle.

Tommy Kay

Tommy has built a dedicated following within the gaming community, where he uses gaming platforms to promote messages of solidarity with Ukraine. During his streams, he frequently selects Ukraine as a central focus within gameplay narratives, portrays russia as the aggressor and primary threat, and expresses support for a strong and independent Ukraine. He also draws emotional parallels between in-game scenarios and the real war. In some streams, he even introduces his Western audience to Ukrainian culture. 

These men didn’t have to help Ukraine, but they've chosen to stand on the right side of history.
