$1,122,323 raised towards generators for Ukrainian schools as part of Bring Light Back!

Together with our ambassadors Liev Schreiber, Scott Kelly, Katheryn Winnick and Elina Svitolina, we launched Bring Light Back ― a fundraiser towards power generators for 112 Ukrainian schools, so that over 30,000 pupils could continue their education even during power outages. In 2 months, thanks to the support of our donors and partners, we managed to raise $1,122,323.

UNITED24 donors from all over the world  helped Ukrainian schoolchildren. The largest contributions came from the USA (25.05%), Germany (17.85%), United Kingdom (8.19%), Canada (4.70%), Australia (3.08%), Sweden (2.80%), France (2.43%), Netherlands (2.29%), Switzerland (2.20%), and Poland (1.94%).

Together with the Ukrainian developer GSC Game World, the creators of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl, we launched a raffle in support of Bring Light Back. Thanks to fans of the game and everyone who loves to do good deeds, we managed to collect over $120,000 in a month, which will go towards the purchase of approximately 16 generators.

Entrepreneur and UNITED24 ambassador Richard Branson supported Bring Light Back. Virgin Group and the Branson family non-profit foundation Virgin Unite donated £20,000.

Our regular partner and official BMW dealer in Ukraine, AWT Bavaria, transferred $65,000 for generators in the Odesa region. The non-profit organization Help Ukraine Now donated $182,000 towards generators for schools in the Poltava region. Estonian company Pipedrive made the largest contribution ― $236,000.

Thanks to the Bring Light Back fundraiser, more than 112 schools in 7 regions of Ukraine will receive generators ― and children will be able to study even during blackouts.

The necessary process of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine regarding the distribution of funds and procurement is ahead.

- Voting of the commission on the distribution of funds.
- Development and approval by the relevant ministries of the draft resolution of the Ministry of Education and Science.
- Adoption of the resolution and transfer of funds to communities / Regional Military Administrations.
- Holding a tender (if necessary) and determining the winner.
- Procurement and installation of generators in schools.

Each stage is a guarantee of transparency and efficiency so that aid reaches where it is needed most.
