Thanks to Lithuania’s Support, Children in the Dnipro Region Can Return to School

Thanks to a contribution from the Government of Lithuania via UNITED24, a major shelter renovation was completed at Pushkarivka School in the Dnipro region.

This has made it possible for pupils to attend school more consistently and continue in-person learning despite the ongoing war.

Previously the shelter did not meet even basic conditions: it was a damp basement without ventilation or water and could accommodate only about 100 people.

After the renovation, the shelter has become a space that meets health and safety standards and can accommodate up to 190 students.

Today, it is one of the best shelters in the community, making it possible to continue the learning process even during air alerts.

Thank you to the Lithuanian government for your support! In the current reality, having a properly equipped shelter is a basic necessity that enables schools to operate offline and maintain continuity of education.
