The main Christmas trees in New York and London, the City Hall in Paris, the Coliseum, the Sydney Opera House, Niagara Falls and other famous locations turned off their lights as a sign of solidarity with Ukraine. This was accompanied by a call for donations towards generators to power Ukrainian hospitals. So far, this fundraiser has exceeded $2,650,000. 516 generators have already been purchased.
Additionally in December, funds from the NBU account of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine were used to purchase 13 armored evacuation vehicles, 9 pediatric ALV devices, 152 external fixation devices, 4 surgical microscopes and 43 ambulances for Ukrainian doctors. The procurement of emergency vehicles will continue, as the global office of Uber has now partnered with UNITED24. The company has started the Keep Ukraine Moving fundraiser, already raising $1,500,000, which further allows the purchase of modern ambulances required by medical professionals to save lives.
In the Defence and Demining direction a fundraiser was launched for 10 RQ-35 Heidrun reconnaissance drones by American actor, Mark Hamill. This campaign is part of the Army of Drones project. In total, 129 drones have been sent to the Ukrainian military in December, with models including DJI Matrice RTK 300 STEN-2, FlyEye 3.0, Flirt Cetus, and Skyeton. 100 units of the DJI Mavic 3 Fly More Combo have been purchased. A pyrotechnical transport vehicle has been purchased and delivered.
December also marked the end of the 'Azovstal. A Symbol of Perseverance' project. The last pre-war batch of bracelets made of steel from the legendary Azovstal plant have been sold out and shipped to their owners: 94,000,000 UAH from the last international edition sale has been transferred towards the Fleet of Naval Drones. This fundraiser continues further via the UNITED24 platform.
