My name is Joshua, and I’ve been helping Ukraine since the start of the full-scale invasion.

Together with my friend from Germany, Niels, we deliver vehicles for Ukrainian soldiers at the front. Niels started traveling to Ukraine with humanitarian aid in March 2022. Later, in November, he organized a trip that I joined as well.

This initiative made me happy, because I realized what contribution I could make to Ukrainians’ fight.

I believe we are fighting for freedom in Europe. I hate when people say, “It’s not our war.” My grandmother told me how Canadians liberated our town of Vreden in the Netherlands. If those Canadians had thought it wasn’t their war, we would still have been occupied by the Nazis.
