Before the full-scale war, I knew very little about Ukraine. But now I sing in a Ukrainian choir, helped found a Ukrainian cuisine club, study Ukrainian culture, history, and language, and also help Ukrainian defenders.
I’m especially moved by getting to know some of the soldiers who are here for treatment. For six months, I drove one of them to physiotherapy and medical appointments, and we became friends.
From the bottom of my heart, I wish Ukraine strong support—stronger and more effective—and, of course, victory and the liberation of occupied territories. The suffering of people—civilian or military—does not leave me indifferent, and I admire the courage and resilience of Ukrainians. Slava Ukraini!
