Australia

Every day when I go for a walk, I pray for you at my “prayer tree.” I pray for every Ukrainian who suffered from the war, I pray that the Russians will stop the war and violence and give you peace and freedom to restore and live a free life.

My partner Prue and I run an alpaca farm and a small Millduck Bed & Breakfast guest house in central Victoria. Before the Russian invasion, I didn't know where Ukraine was, what its capital was, what flag it was. I haven't heard anything about your policies or leaders. But in April 2022, I decided to dye my hair blue and yellow as a sign of solidarity with the Ukrainian people.

At the Sydney Alpaca Show, I started collecting donations and sending them to Ukraine. These are small amounts, but they come from caring people with a kind hearts. Everyone contributes as much as they can, showing their care, concern, and solidarity with you. In 16 months, we managed to raise 8,000 Australian dollars, all of which went to UNITED24. Our friends and relatives, as well as guests of our house, join the support.

I'm a little tired of having yellow hair (blue washed away), but I can't give it up. Just as I can't refuse to support the Ukrainians. I want you to know that we are still here, still standing in solidarity with you and thinking about you.
